Value betting, explained

What is a value bet?

A value bet is a wager where the model's probability of an outcome is higher than the probability implied by the bookmaker's no-vig price. Over time, consistently betting value is what produces a positive return — it is informational, never guaranteed.

The expected value formula

EV = (P × (O − 1)) (1 − P)
PModel probability of the outcome
ODecimal odds offered by the bookmaker

A positive result means the price offers value at your estimated probability. Confidence measures the reliability of that edge — not certainty of the outcome.

How to read a pick

Model probability (P)higher is stronger
Best decimal odds (O)the price we found
Expected value (EV)the edge per unit
Every pick below has positive EV at the listed price. Edges move as odds move, so we rank by the current expected value.

We never publish "sure things" — only where the math currently shows an edge.
